Perishables Shipping

Sausage, bacon, and pork cuts like ribs and chops all ship frozen - this requires ice packs, insulated packaging, and overnight express shipping. When the order ships, you will receive an email with tracking info. Please be sure to keep track of your order in transit unpack and refrigerate or freeze your order as soon as possible, especially in hot weather.

When you open your order, it should be cold (i.e. below 40F) but not necessarily frozen - items will typically be thawed or partially thawed. Items may be safely refrozen if they arrive thawed but still below 40F. We have tested our packaging to reliably maintain cold temps in transit, even in the summer months. If you open your package and it seems too warm, try to get a temperature reading from the middle of the package as soon as possible. An infrared thermometer is best if you happen to have one lying around, but you can also use a standard instant read kitchen thermometer. Just place it in the middle of the package for a minute or two. If you have any issues with your order, please contact us immediately.

Perishables orders will only ship on Monday - Wednesday to avoid delays in transit, and we typically need 1-2 business days for fulfillment. In other words, if you order late on a Monday, we will do our best to get it packed and shipped Tuesday or Wednesday, but it may not ship until the following week.
